We Bought A House!

Yes, we are homeowners once again. We purchased a house about a half hour north of Valdosta that is on an acre of land, surrounded by a pecan grove, a green bean field and a cabbage patch. This day only took almost four months, but we finally made it. Of course I have pictures for you all to enjoy.

Stay tuned for more fun stories about the house, the contract, the four months it took to close and the closing, until then, enjoy the pictures! (click on them to make them big).

  1. YAY! I was hoping this was the news! Looks like a great home for your family and the area sounds beautiful…..we need outside shots too, please 🙂

Paulette! We are so excited, it only took almost four months from signing the contract to closing! We will get outside shots soon. The yard needs some trimming, but I can tell you the view is very nice. Last night we stood in the girls room and watched the sun set! We also bought a riding lawn mower, so you know the use of that will involve pictures!

  2. I’m looking again – Wow! There are lots of closets!!! One can never have too many closets. And 4 bedrooms – excellent! I love the rec-room…looks like it leads directly out to the yard. I’m so excited for you guys!

Yes! Closets, Closets, Closets! I am so excited about the closets! The upstairs bathroom linen cabinet is HUGE. What I didn’t get a picture of was the “fifth” room upstairs. It looks like it was a closet that was made in to an office (ha ha ha, I’d hate to spend anytime in there) but it will be a great place to store extra kids clothes and coats that we only need to pull out a few days a year.

The door to the rec room does go right outside. We are excited about that and think it will be the main “family” door. The door off the dining room leads to a patio, but to get to the car park area (we actually do not have a paved driveway, or any sort of defined parking area) you have to walk through some sand (the soil of choice in South Ga) and sand will tear up wood floor pretty quick, not to mention it is darn near impossible to actually sweep up!
